As part of their activity, Aptum have been working with the ATO.
The problem
The ATO now requires any organisation it contracts to deliver services on their behalf, to have adequate security processes and controls in place.
Specifically, the ATO needs to determine how an organisation like Aptum will store and manage data.
For this reason, Aptum needed to align with the ACSC Essential 8 security standard.
Aptum previously faced quotes of over $100,000 to enhance security in line with Essential 8.
For small business of the size of Aptum, quotes of these magnitude are simply irrelevant. Additionally, because hybrid work has become the new norm at Aptum, there was a further level of complexity to consider.
The solution needed to provide a cost effective and device centric approach to security.
Our Solution

With Fuse 365 we were able to implement the security baseline for Aptum, where Essential 8 made up part of this.
